Dr. Joe Vescovo grew up in Memphis, TN. He attended Christian Brothers High School, where he graduated in the top ten in his class. He was active with football as well as wrestling and theater. Dr. Vescovo pursued his undergraduate studies at Rhodes College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. During his time at the university, he played football, was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and was very active at the McCoy Theater.
Dr. Vescovo received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. While in school, he was a member of the American Student Dental Association. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Memphis Dental Legion. He is married to Kristen Andrews Vescovo of Oviedo, Florida. Dr. Vescovo enjoys spending time with his family, acting, and UT football.

DR. PHILIP ALLAGAS
Dr. Philip Allagas is a general dentist committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care in a comfortable setting. He focuses on preventive and restorative dentistry and values helping patients understand their oral health so they can make informed decisions about their care. Outside the clinic, he enjoys woodworking, music, and spending time with his wife and puppies.
LAUREN
Lauren Miller is a Registered Dental Hygienist who is also licensed with administration of local anesthesia and administration/monitoring of nitrous oxide. Lauren is CPR certified and always maintains 15 hours or more of continuing education studies each year. She attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys outdoor activities and exercising. Mostly, she enjoys her job and wants all of her patients to feel comfortable and secure. Lauren is laid back and get along with everyone.
MEAGAN
Meagan Oswald is a Registered Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and has been with the practice since 2012. She is a graduate from Tennessee Technology Center and is CPR certified. Her goal is to make every patient feel at ease when coming to the dentist. She is from the Memphis area and now resides in Tipton County. Meagan is married, has two children, and in her spare time she loves taking vacations and spending time with her family.
KIM
Kim Clay has been with our practice since June 2022. She started her career out as a dental assistant back in 2002. She now specializes in accounts receivables and insurance claims. If you have questions about your account or your dental insurance, she would love to help you out and make it to where you understand as well. She will be glad to go over your out of pocket costs and your treatment plans. Kim is a proud Navy wife and mother to 2 kids. He enjoys traveling, loving on her pups, and spending time with her family and friends. We are thrilled to have her as part of our dental family.
DENITA
Denita Kneeland is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Certified Dental Assistant. She is licensed with administration of local anesthesia and administration/monitoring of nitrous oxide. She is also CPR certified and actively maintains over 15 hours of continuing education credits each year. In 2016, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center-Memphis. You will find that she has a passion for Dental Hygiene, strives to build rapport with her patients and provides quality dental care. She is also a proud mother to four children (triplet daughters and one son) and enjoys spending time with her family/friends, listening to music, and going on nature walks in her spare time.
JANIE
Janie has been a dental assistant since 2018, when she graduated from TCAT Memphis. While studying there, she interned with Vescovo Family Dentistry. Upon graduation she was offered the position to be one of Dr. Vescovo’s assistants. Janie loves being outside and spending time with her family and friends.
DOROTHY
Dorothy is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2014. She is certified in the administration of local anesthesia as well as the administration and monitoring of nitrous oxide. Dorothy is also CPR certified. Some of her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and eating! She is very easy going and hardworking. She maintains at least 15 hours of continuing education courses every year to help improve her knowledge and skills in order to take better care of her patients!
ROBIN
Robin Walters is a front office administrator. She moved to Memphis in 2007 and joined our team in 2017. She is an avid supporter of Autism awareness, and also has 6-year-old little boy. Robin enjoys trivia, crafts, baking, and true crime documentaries. Her face is the first one you will see when you walk in our office and she is always happy to answer any questions you have about appointments and insurance.
MICHAELA
Michaela is a Registered Dental Hygienist who earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2023. She has been working in the dental field since 2018, gaining valuable experience and developing a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care.
She is licensed in the administration of local anesthesia as well as the administration/monitoring of nitrous oxide, and she is CPR certified. She is committed to providing the highest standard of care and completes a minimum of 15 hours of continuing education annually to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry. Her goal is to ensure each patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident in their oral health.
MICHELLE
With over 24 years of experience in dental administration, Michelle is dedicated to making every patient’s visit comfortable and efficient. She excels in insurance verification, treatment planning, and ensuring a seamless, friendly experience from the front door to the dental chair. She joined the team in August of 2025 after moving offices with Dr Barry Vescovo. In her free time she loves reading, running, spending time with her dogs and traveling with her husband.
JESSICA
Jessica joined the practice in January 2026 after transitioning from the medical field to dental administration in 2019. She specializes in accounts receivable and insurance claims, bringing strong organizational skills and attention to detail to help you navigate the financial side of your care. She is always happy to help you better understand your account or insurance coverage and welcomes any questions. Originally from Arlington, she is a wife and mother of four who enjoys camping, family game nights, reading, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
LESLEY
Lesley is a Registered Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with 18 years of experience in the dental field. She is CRP certified and takes pride in helping provide high-quality care while making patients feel comfortable during their visits.
Outside of the office, Lesley enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband and son. Her faith is an important part of her life. In her free time, she enjoys reading a good book and binge-watching TV shows.
Vescovo Family Dentistry
Vescovo Family Dentistry, welcomes patients of all ages from toddlers to seniors. We treat all of our dental patients like family.
